Parameswaran Nair,Aseem Paranjape,Krishnamohan Parattu,S. G. Rajeev,Bibhas Ranjan Majhi,Tirthankar Roy Choudhury,Mohammad Sami,Sudipta Sarkar,Sandipan Sengupta,T. R. Seshadri,S. Shankaranarayanan,Suprit Singh,Tejinder P. Singh,L. Sriramkumar,Urjit A. Yajnik +22 more
TL;DR: Thanu Padmanabhan as mentioned in this paper was a renowned Indian theoretical physicist known for his research in general relativity, cosmology, and quantum gravity, and was also a close friend to his students and collaborators, treating them as part of his extended academic family.
Journal ArticleDOI
Bayesian evidence comparison for distance scale estimates
Aseem Paranjape,Ravi K. Sheth +1 more
TL;DR: This work describes a Bayesian framework for determining how many basis functions to use and comparing one basis set with another and provides intuition into how one’s degree of belief in different basis sets together determine the derived constraints.

Model-agnostic cosmological constraints from the baryon acoustic oscillation feature in redshift space
Aseem Paranjape,Ravi K. Sheth +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper , a framework for self-consistently extracting cosmological information from the clustering of tracers in redshift space is developed, relying on model-dependent templates to describe the baryon acoustic oscillation (BAO) feature.
Journal ArticleDOI
Mass accretion rates and multiscale halo environment in cold and warm dark matter cosmologies
Payaswinee Dhoke,Aseem Paranjape +1 more
Peer Review
Impact of tidal environment on galaxy populations using GAMA
TL;DR: In this paper , the authors present constraints on models of the galaxy distribution in the cosmic web using a magnitude limited sample from the Galaxy and Mass Assembly (GAMA) survey, and show that the model constraints without assembly bias overlap with Planck expectations.
