Infrared Transmission Spectroscopy of the Exoplanets HD209458b and XO-1b Using the Wide Field Camera-3 on the Hubble Space Telescope
Drake Deming,Ashlee Wilkins,Peter R. McCullough,Adam Burrows,Jonathan J. Fortney,Eric Agol,Ian Dobbs-Dixon,Nikku Madhusudhan,Nicolas Crouzet,Jean-Michel Desert,Ronald L. Gilliland,Korey Haynes,Heather Knutson,Michael R. Line,Zazralt Magic,Avi Mandell,Sukrit Ranjan,David Charbonneau,Mark Clampin,Sara Seager,Adam P. Showman +20 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors reported WFC3 spectroscopy of the giant planets HD209458b and XO-1b in transit, using spatial scanning mode for maximum photon-collecting efficiency.
Journal ArticleDOI
WISE/NEOWISE Observations of the Jovian Trojans: Preliminary Results
T. Grav,A. K. Mainzer,James M. Bauer,J. R. Masiero,T. Spahr,Robert S. McMillan,R. G. Walker,Roc Cutri,Edward L. Wright,E. Blauvelt,Emily DeBaun,D. Elsbury,Thomas Gautier,Stephanie Gomillion,E. Hand,Ashlee Wilkins +15 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors presented a preliminary analysis of over 1739 known and 349 candidate Jovian Trojans observed by the NEOWISE component of the Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer (WISE).
Journal ArticleDOI
Centaurs and Scattered Disk Objects in the Thermal Infrared: Analysis of WISE/NEOWISE Observations
James M. Bauer,Tommy Grav,E. Blauvelt,Amy Mainzer,Joseph R. Masiero,Rachel Stevenson,Emily Kramer,Yan Fernandez,Carey M. Lisse,Roc M. Cutri,Paul R. Weissman,John W. Dailey,Frank J. Masci,R. G. TL;DR: In this paper, the authors used the Wide-Field Infrared Survey Explorer (WISE) observations to estimate sizes and mean optical albedos of Centaurs and scattered disk objects in the thermal infrared.
Journal ArticleDOI
The Emergent 1.1-1.7 Micron Spectrum of the Exoplanet CoRoT-2b as Measured Using the Hubble Space Telescope
Ashlee Wilkins,Drake Deming,Nikku Madhusudhan,Adam Burrows,Heather Knutson,Peter R. McCullough,Sukrit Ranjan +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors measured the secondary eclipse of the transiting very hot Jupiter CoRoT-2b in the 1.1-1.7$\mu$m spectral region and found an eclipse depth averaged over this band equal to $395+69}_{-45}$ parts per million, equivalent to a blackbody temperature of $1788\pm18$K.
Journal ArticleDOI
Atmospheric Characterization of 5 Hot Jupiters with Wide Field Camera 3 on the Hubble Space Telescope
Sukrit Ranjan,David Charbonneau,Jean-Michel Desert,Nikku Madhusudhan,Drake Deming,Ashlee Wilkins,Avi Mandell +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the structure and composition of the atmospheres of 5 hot Jupiter exoplanets using the Hubble Space Telescope Wide Field Camera 3 (WFC3) instrument were investigated.
