TL;DR: The prevalence of HPV type 18 was found to be higher than HPV type 16 and co-infection in oral leukoplakia, and the tongue and palate lesions in the oral squamous cell carcinoma patients showed high prevalence compared with other sites.

A Clinical Study on the Circadian Rhythm of Salivary Cortisol on Aggressive Periodontitis and Its Correlation with Clinical Parameters using Electrochemiluminescence Immunoassay Method.

TL;DR: The cortisol awakening response seen in control patients is not observed in aggressive periodontitis, and the average cortisol in aggressive patients was found to be higher compared to control patients and was found of statistically significant with a p value of 0.012.

Prevalence and distribution of oral mucosal lesions associated with tobacco use in patients visiting a dental school in Ajman

TL;DR: The results of the current study indicated the high prevalence of premalignant oral lesions like leukoplakia, smoker’s palate and oral sub mucous fibrosis among tobacco users and acknowledge the importance of having regular screening preventive protocols to increase the community awareness regarding the adverse effects of smoking.

An in vivo study on comparison of disinfection of root canal with chemical disinfectants and disinfectant-diode laser-photodynamic treatment combined system

TL;DR: In both of the microbiological study by Blood Agar and Mitis Salivarius media, it showed that application of either Diode laser or NaOCl alone will not bring considerable reduction in the bacterial colony.
