Engineering Properties and Compressibility Behavior of Tropical Peat Soil
TL;DR: In this paper, the engineering properties and compressibility behavior of various types of tropical peat soil collected from several locations in Malaysia were investigated. But the results showed that fibric peat recorded the highest settlement followed by hemic and sapric peat with increase in consolidation pressure.
Journal ArticleDOI
Impacts of Land-Use Change on Streamflows in the Damansara Watershed, Malaysia
TL;DR: In this article, the authors used hydrologic models and spatial data to assess the effects of land-use changes and predict the effects on the flood regime of the Damansara Watershed.

A local scour prediction method for pile caps in complex piers
TL;DR: In this paper, a new methodology is presented to estimate local scour depth at a pile cap as a component of a complex pier in the superposition m. The proposed method was evaluated with the results from this experimental study and historical measurements.
Application of scrap tires as earth reinforcement for repair of tropical residual soil slope
TL;DR: In this paper, the tensile strength of scrap tires was tested for slope repair and it was shown that polypropylene rope of 12 mm in diameter could provide the required matching strength as joint.
