Effective quadrupole charges in the lead region
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors surveyed the available experimental material on effective E2 charges in the lead region and found no evidence for a variation in the effective charge of the h 9 2. proton orbital as a function of the number of nucleons outside the core.
Journal ArticleDOI
E2 CORE POLARIZATION BY NEUTRONS IN THE (i/sub 13/2/)$sup -2$ CONFIGURATION IN $sup 206$Pb.
I. Bergström,J. Blomqvist,B. Fant,A. Filevich,G. Lindén,K. G. Rensfelt,J. Sztarkier,K. Wikström +7 more
TL;DR: Using the 204Hg(α,2n) reaction and the pulsed beam of the 225 cm cyclotron, the 12+ and 10+ states of the (i13/2)-2 configuration in 206Pb at the energies 4 027.2 and 3 957.6 keV, respectively, were determined in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI
Evidence for an Isomeric 29/2+ Level in 211At
TL;DR: A 70 ns isomeric state at 2 641 keV has been produced in the 209Bi(α,2n)211 At reaction and interpreted as the 29/2+ state of the h9/22 i13/2 proton configuration as discussed by the authors.
Journal ArticleDOI
Systematics of B(E3) Values in the Trans-Lead Region
I Bergström,B. Fant +1 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors analyzed the E3 decay of the core excited 16+ and 39/2-isomeric states 210Po and 211At, respectively, and showed that very high B (E3) values are associated with mixed configurations both in the initial and final states allowing fast proton as well as neutron transitions.
Journal ArticleDOI
Signature inversion in 120Cs: Evidence for a residual pn interaction
Bo Cederwall,F. Lidén,A. Johnson,L. Hildingsson,Ramon Wyss,B. Fant,S. Juutinen,P. Ahonen,S. Mitarai,J. Mukai,J. Nyberg,Ingemar Ragnarsson,P.B. Semmes +12 more
TL;DR: In this article, high-spin states have been observed in the odd-odd isotope 120C in 32S-induced reactions and the previously known band was extended to higher spin and several new bands were identified.
