Drying of hot chilli using solar tunnel drier

TL;DR: In this paper, a mixed mode type forced convection solar tunnel drier was used to dry hot red and green chillies under the tropical weather conditions of Bangladesh, and the drier consisted of transparent plastic covered flat-plate collector and a drying tunnel connected in series to supply hot air directly into the drying tunnel using two fans operated by a photovoltaic module.
Journal ArticleDOI

Solar drying of pineapple using solar tunnel drier

TL;DR: In this article, field level experiments on solar drying of pineapple using solar tunnel drier were conducted at Bangladesh Agricultural University, Mymensingh, Bangladesh, where the drier consists of a transparent plastic covered flat plate collector and a drying tunnel connected in a series to supply hot air directly into the drying tunnel using two dc fans operated by a solar module.
Journal ArticleDOI

Experimental and simulated performance of a PV-ventilated solar greenhouse dryer for drying of peeled longan and banana

TL;DR: In this paper, the performance of a PV-ventilated solar greenhouse dryer for drying of peeled longan and banana was investigated and a system of partial differential equations describing heat and moisture transfer was developed and solved numerically using the finite difference method.
Journal ArticleDOI

Experimental investigation on solar drying of fish using solar tunnel dryer

TL;DR: In this article, the field level performance of the solar tunnel dryer for drying of fish is presented, which consists of a transparent plastic covered flat plate collector and a drying tunnel connected in series to supply hot air directly into the drying tunnel using four d.c. fans.
