Journal ArticleDOI

Human zona pellucida recognition associated with removal of sialic acid from human sperm surface

TL;DR: The ability of human spermatozoa recovered from highly motile sperm fractions to bind wheat germ agglutinin (WGA) after discontinuous Percoll gradient centrifugation was studied and the expression of sialic acid on human sperm plasma membrane was demonstrated.
Journal ArticleDOI

Sequential transformations of human sperm nucleus in human egg

TL;DR: Oocytes prepared from oocytes that failed to fertilize in an in-vitro fertilization programme was used as an experimental model to study the time course and morphological events during the development of sperm nuclei into male pronuclei, suggesting that maternal chromatin and sperm nuclear development are probably regulated by common factor(s).
Journal ArticleDOI

Relationship between fertilizing ability of frozen human spermatozoa and capacity for heparin binding and nuclear decondensation.

TL;DR: Although insemination used a constant number of motile spermatozoa, fertilization rates were higher after treatments with heparin and GSH alone than in control or he parin-GSH-treated samples.
