Journal ArticleDOI

Thermodynamic length, time, speed, and optimum path to minimize entropy production

TL;DR: In this paper, the Euler-Lagrange equations are derived for optimum thermodynamic control for fixed clock time period as well as for fixed thermodynamic time period, and an easy-to-implement stepwise algorithm is constructed to realize control at constant thermodynamic speed.
Journal ArticleDOI

On the minimum uncertainty of space-time geodesics

Lajos Diósi, +1 more
- 18 Dec 1989 -
TL;DR: In this article, the quantum relativistic limitations of measuring the metric tensor of a certain space-time were investigated and it was suggested that the result is an estimate for fluctuations of g ab whose rigorous determination will be a subject of a future relatievistic quantum gravity.
Journal ArticleDOI

Observables and initial conditions for self-similar ellipsoidal flows

TL;DR: In this article, a self-similar solution of nonrelativistic hydrodynamics for ellipsoidally symmetric, expanding fireballs was derived by assuming that the symmetry axes of the ellipses are tilted in the frame of the observation.
Journal ArticleDOI

The quark-nucleon phase diagram and quantum chromodynamics

TL;DR: In this article, the temperature dependence of a conjectured first-order phase transition between nuclear matter and quark-gluon matter is calculated for temperatures below T = 200 MeV.
