Effects of Heat Treatment on the Mechanical Properties of Rolled Medium Carbon Steel

TL;DR: In this article, the effects of heat treatment on the mechanical properties of rolled medium carbon steel were investigated and the result showed that the steel developed has excellent combination of tensile strength, impact strength and ductility which is very attractive for structural use.
Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis and characterization of ZA-27 alloy matrix composites reinforced with zinc oxide nanoparticles

TL;DR: In this paper, an investigation has been carried out on the synthesis and characterization of ZA-27 alloy composites reinforced with zinc oxide nanoparticles and the results show that hardness and ultimate tensile strength of the composite samples increased progressively with increase in weight percentage of ZnO nanoparticles.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effects of Moulding Sand Permeability and Pouring Temperatures on Properties of Cast 6061 Aluminium Alloy

TL;DR: In this article, the effects of moulding sand permeabilities prepared from the combinations of four proportions of coarse and fine particle size mixtures and pouring temperatures varied from 700, 750, and 800 (±10°C) were studied on the hardness, porosity, strength, and microstructure of cast aluminium pistons used in hydraulic brake master cylinder.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effects of Hard Surface Grinding and Activation on Electroless-Nickel Plating on Cast Aluminium Alloy Substrates

TL;DR: In this article, the effects of hard surface polishing grits and activation on electroless-nickel (EN) plating on cast aluminium alloy substrates in sodium hypophosphite baths were examined.
Journal ArticleDOI

Studies of the properties of heat treated rolled medium carbon steel

TL;DR: In this article, the effects of heat treatment on the properties of rolled medium carbon steel were investigated and the results showed that the steel developed has excellent combination of tensile strength, hardness and impact strength which is very good for structural applications.
