Journal ArticleDOI

Gamma-spectrometric determination of natural radionuclides and 137Cs concentrations in environmental samples. The improved scintillation technique

TL;DR: In this article, a new technique for approximation of spectral components of environmental samples with the spectra of standard sources 226 Ra, 232 Th, 40 K, 137 Cs and inert samples is proposed.
Journal ArticleDOI

A setup for studies of ultra-small angle scattering of hard γ-quanta

TL;DR: In this article, an experimental setup for the study of ultra-small angle scattering of up to 13 MeV γ-rays from macroscopically smooth surface has been constructed.
Journal ArticleDOI

Experimental study of ultrasmall-angle scattering of electron bremsstrahlung gamma-quanta (E e = 11.8 MeV)

TL;DR: In this paper, the angular distribution of electron bremsstrahlung γ-quanta scattered from the reflector surface through an angle of 166 μrad reveals the emergence of total internal reflection of γ quanta with an energy Eγ ≤ 300 keV.
Journal ArticleDOI

Experimental detection of specular reflection of gamma quanta

TL;DR: In this paper, the specular reflection effect is detected in the spectral and angular distributions of γ quanta with energies up to 3 MeV and the reflection coefficients vary from 0 to ∼17% depending on the angles of incidence and the γ qanta energy.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

Simulation of total external reflection of gamma-quanta

TL;DR: In this article, the authors discuss the issues related to the experimental investigation of the phenomenon of total external reflection of γ-quanta from macroscopically smooth surface using Monte Carlo method.
