Supramolecular isomers in the same crystal: a new type of entanglement involving ribbons of rings and 2D (4,4) networks polycatenated in a 3D architecture

TL;DR: The reaction of corresponding cadmium salts with the flexible ligand 1, 4-bis(1,2,4-triazol-1-ylmethyl)benzene (bbtz) affords the 3D coordination network, containing ribbons of rings and planar 2D (4,4) networks polycatenated with each other.
Journal ArticleDOI

Extended Networks of Co2+ and Mn2+ Bridged by NCS–/N3– Anions and Flexible Long Spacers: Syntheses, Structures, and Magnetic Properties

TL;DR: In this article, four new metal-organic polymers with short anion bridges and flexible long spacers were synthesized and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction studies and their magnetic properties were investigated.
Journal ArticleDOI

A New “Opened-Cube” (H2O)10 Cluster and Undulated Water Chain in Porous Metal−Organic Frameworks

TL;DR: In this paper, a three-dimensional coordination polymer, Cd2(btec)(btb)3]-H2O)10 (1) (btb = 1,4-bis(1,2,4)-triazol-1-yl)butane; btec = 1 2,4,5-benzenetetetracarboxylate) containing an opened-cube with an outer edge discrete water decamer and a thick two-dimensional network was synthesized and characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction analysis.
Journal ArticleDOI

Solvent-controlled assembly of supramolecular isomers: 2D (4,4) network, 1D ribbons of ring, and both 2D (4,4) networks and 1D ribbons of rings polycatenated in a 3D array

TL;DR: The reaction of Mn(NCS)2 with the flexible ligand 1,4-bis(1,2,4)-triazol-1-yl)butane (btb) in different solvent systems affords three “pseudo” supramolecular isomers 2D (4,4) network, 1D ribbons of rings polycatenated in a 3D array.
Journal ArticleDOI

Syntheses and structures of five cadmium(II) coordination polymers from 1,2-bis(1,2,4-triazol-1-yl)ethane

TL;DR: In this paper, five structually distinct coordination polymers (Cd(bte)3](NO3)2}n (1), {[Cd[bte]2(H2O)2]-NO3]n (2), [Cd2(SCN)2]n(3), {Cd{cd[cd]-NO2]-n (4,4]n, {cd''cd{bte]-cd`cd}n(5,6,7]n), and [
