Wall slip and melt fracture of poly(lactides)
Norhayani Othman,Norhayani Othman,Bashar Jazrawi,Parisa Mehrkhodavandi,Savvas G. Hatzikiriakos +4 more
TL;DR: In this article, the wall slip and melt fracture behavior of commercial polylactides (PLAs) as well as their rheological properties under shear and extensional have been investigated.
Journal ArticleDOI
Processing aids for biodegradable polymers
Journal ArticleDOI
Flow-induced crystallization of polypropylenes in capillary flow
Maziar Derakhshandeh,Bashar Jazrawi,George Hatzikiriakos,Antonios K. Doufas,Savvas G. Hatzikiriakos +4 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated the flow-induced crystallization behavior of polypropylenes with different molecular characteristics using a capillary rheometer, and found that the crystallization kinetics were enhanced with increasing molecular weight, indicating the importance of high-end tail of molecular weight distribution.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
Biodegradable polymers: Wall slip, melt fracture, and processing aids
Norhayani Othman,Nazbanoo Noroozi,Bashar Jazrawi,Parisa Mehrkhodavandi,Laurel L. Schafer,Savvas G. Hatzikiriakos +5 more
TL;DR: The wall slip and melt fracture behavior of several commercial polylactides (PLAs) and poly(e-caprolactone), (PCLs) have been investigated in this paper.
