Channel Models for Mobile-to-Mobile Cooperative Communication Systems: A State of the Art Review
Batool Talha,Matthias Patzold +1 more
TL;DR: It has been shown that M2M cooperative channels are strongly dependent on the systems' topology and can exhibit more severe fading than classical Rayleigh channels with completely different first- and second-order envelope statistics.
Journal ArticleDOI
What?s New in Intelligent Transportation Systems?: An Overview of European Projects and Initiatives
Gulzaib Rafiq,Batool Talha,Matthias Patzold,Jose Gato Luis,Gianluca Ripa,Iacopo Carreras,Cristina Coviello,Stefano Marzorati,Gonzalo Perez Rodriguez,German Herrero,Muriel Desaeger +10 more
TL;DR: A taxonomy of recent intelligent transportation systems (ITS) initiatives/ projects in Europe covers nearly all of the main segments of the transportation sector and highlights the potential advantages users get through deployed ITS solutions.
Journal ArticleDOI
A Geometrical Three-Ring-Based Model for MIMO Mobile-to-Mobile Fading Channels in Cooperative Networks
Batool Talha,Matthias Patzold +1 more
TL;DR: This paper deals with the modeling and analysis of narrowband multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) mobile-to-mobile (M2M) fading channels in relay-based cooperative networks, and demonstrates that the developed channel simulator is not only important for the development of future MIMO M2M cooperative communication systems, but also for analyzing the dynamic behavior of the MIMOs channel capacity.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
On the Statistical Properties of Equal Gain Combining over Mobile-to-Mobile Fading Channels in Cooperative Networks
TL;DR: This article deals with the statistical analysis of equal gain combining (EGC) over mobile-to-mobile (M2M) fading channels in a dual-hop amplify-and-forward relay network under non-line-of-sight (NLOS) propagation conditions.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
Level-Crossing Rate and Average Duration of Fades of the Envelope of Mobile-to-Mobile Fading Channels in Cooperative Networks Under Line-of-Sight Conditions
Batool Talha,Matthias Patzold +1 more
TL;DR: This paper studies the fading behavior of mobile- to-mobile (M2M) fading channels in relay-based cooperative networks under line-of-sight (LOS) conditions and derived analytical expressions for the LCR, ADF, and cumulative distribution function of the envelope of MLSS channels.
