Journal ArticleDOI
Meta-analysis: Pharmacologic Treatment of Restricted and Repetitive Behaviors in Autism Spectrum Disorders.
TL;DR: It is suggested that currently available pharmacological agents have at best only a modest benefit for the treatment of RRBs in ASD with the most evidence supporting antipsychotic medications.
Journal Article
Efficacy of Palmitoylethanolamide for Pain: A Meta-Analysis.
TL;DR: PEA may be a useful treatment for pain and is generally well tolerated in research populations, but well-designed, randomized, placebo-controlled trials are needed to provide reliable estimates of its efficacy and to identify less serious adverse events associated with this compound.
Journal ArticleDOI
The Potential of Cannabinoid-Based Treatments in Tourette Syndrome.
TL;DR: Clinical use for refractory patients should at the very least be restricted to adult populations, given the uncertain efficacy and risk of developmental adverse effects that cannabinoids may have in children, and the overall efficacy and safety of cannabinoid-based treatments is largely unknown.
Journal ArticleDOI

Zeynep Yildirim,Koray Karabekiroglu,Alisan Yildiran,Mehmet Halil Çeliksoy,Bekir B. Artukoglu,Saliha Baykal,Zehra Babadağı,James F. Leckman +7 more
TL;DR: Comparisons of activated regulatory T cell values between patients with TS/chronic tic disorder (CTD) and age- and sex-matched healthy controls (HCs) suggest that Tregs may have a role in the pathogenesis of TS/CTD.
