TL;DR: Patients with shoulder pain and shoulder girdle dysfunction assigned to receive manipulative therapy in addition to usual general practitioner care had more rapid improvement in symptoms and fewer shoulder symptoms at 12 weeks than patients assigned to usual care alone.

TL;DR: Schizophrenia patients are at risk of undetected somatic co-morbidity and GPs should take this into account by adopting proactive behaviour and develop a set of guidelines to facilitate the desired changes in the management of somatic diseases in these patients.
