Superhydrophobic CuO nanoneedle-covered copper surfaces for anticorrosion
TL;DR: In this paper, a facile and controllable anodization approach to fabricate super-hydrophobic CuO nanoneedle array (NNA) films for the enhancement of corrosion resistance of copper substrates was reported.
Journal ArticleDOI
CO2 mineral carbonation using industrial solid wastes: A review of recent developments
Weizao Liu,Liumei Teng,Sohrab Rohani,Zhifeng Qin,Bin Zhao,Chunbao Charles Xu,Shan Ren,Qingcai Liu,Bin Liang +8 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors reviewed the current developments of mineral carbonation technologies by using industrial solid wastes as feedstocks, aiming at searching the reasons of its limitation, and suggested two research directions, i.e., the evaluation of CO2 net emission reduction by life cycle assessment technique and developments of new energy-saving approaches.
Journal ArticleDOI
Surface chemistry and corrosion behaviour of 304 stainless steel in simulated seawater containing inorganic sulphide and sulphate-reducing bacteria
TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of inorganic and biogenic sulphide on surface chemistry and corrosion behavior of 304 stainless steels in a simulated seawater-based modified Baar's (SSMB) medium was investigated.
Journal ArticleDOI
Silver Oxide as Superb and Stable Photocatalyst under Visible and Near-Infrared Light Irradiation and Its Photocatalytic Mechanism
TL;DR: In this article, a silver oxide nanoparticle aggregation with superb photocatalytic performance under artificial light source and sunlight was prepared and characterized, and the results showed that methyl orange (MO) was decomposed completely in 120 s under irradiation of artificial visible light, artificial ultraviolet light, and sunlight, and in 40 min under near infrared (NIR) light.
Journal ArticleDOI
Leaching kinetics of Panzhihua ilmenite in sulfuric acid
TL;DR: In this article, the dissolution of Panzhihua ilmenite in sulfuric acid was investigated and the results showed that both surface reaction and diffusion through the product layer are effective on the leaching rate.
