Ingesting a pre-workout supplement containing caffeine, B-vitamins, amino acids, creatine, and beta-alanine before exercise delays fatigue while improving reaction time and muscular endurance
Brandon D. Spradley,Kristy R Crowley,Chih-Yin Tai,Kristina L. Kendall,David H. Fukuda,Enrico N. Esposito,Sarah E Moon,Jordan R. Moon +7 more
TL;DR: Ingesting the SUP before exercise significantly improved agility choice reaction performance and lower body muscular endurance, while increasing perceived energy and reducing subjective fatigue, suggest that the SUP may delay fatigue during strenuous exercise.
Journal ArticleDOI
Ingesting a preworkout supplement containing caffeine, creatine, β-alanine, amino acids, and B vitamins for 28 days is both safe and efficacious in recreationally active men
Kristina L. Kendall,Jordan R. Moon,Ciaran M. Fairman,Brandon D. Spradley,Chih-Yin Tai,Paul H. Falcone,Laura R. Carson,Matt M. Mosman,Jordan M. Joy,Michael P. Kim,Eric R. Serrano,Enrico N. Esposito,Enrico N. Esposito +12 more
TL;DR: Investigation of the safety and efficacy of consuming a preworkout supplement containing caffeine, creatine, β-alanine, amino acids, and B vitamins for 28 days in healthy, recreationally trained, college-aged men found no adverse effects.
Journal ArticleDOI
Reliability of an interactive sport-specific choice reaction time device
Chih-Yin Tai,Kristy R Crowley,Brandon D. Spradley,Laura R. Carson,Paul H. Falcone,Enrico N. Esposito,Michael P. Kim,Eric R. Serrano,Jordan R. Moon +8 more
TL;DR: A familiarization session between testing days may result in similar reliability to that of within-day trials (p = 1.00).
Journal ArticleDOI
Effectiveness of a postactivation protocol for improving performance in the army combat fitness test
TL;DR: In this paper , the authors evaluated the effectiveness of implementing task-specific, post activation performance enhancement (PAPE) strategies, performed immediately prior to the event for which PAPE exercises are designed.
Journal ArticleDOI
Relationship Between Visual Analog Scales And Commonly-used Scales Of Perceived Readiness And Exertion
TL;DR: In this article , the authors investigated the correlation of two visual analog scales (VAS) to their counterparts for readiness and exertion metrics for the Army Combat Fitness Test (ACFT).
