SCR-DeNOx for diesel engine exhaust aftertreatment: unsteady-state kinetic study and monolith reactor modelling
Cristian Ciardelli,Isabella Nova,Enrico Tronconi,Brigitte Konrad,Daniel Chatterjee,Karlheinz Dipl.-Ing. Ecke,Michel Weibel +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the kinetics of NH 3 adsorption-desorption and of the NO + NH 3 / O 2 Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) reaction were studied in the 50-450°C T -range in the presence of water over a commercial powdered V 2 O 5 -WO 3 / TiO 2 catalyst loaded in a micro-reactor, following the temporal evolution of the outlet species concentrations by a mass spectrometer.

Exhaust gas purification process and apparatus with internal generation of ammonia for reducing nitrogen oxide
Josef Guenther,Brigitte Konrad,Bernd Krutzsch,Arno Nolte,Dirk Voigtlaender,Michel Weibel,Marko Weirich,Guenter Wenninger +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a method and apparatus for purifying an exhaust gas of an internal combustion engine includes an ammonia generating catalyst for generating ammonia from nitrogen oxides contained in the exhaust gas to be purified, and a nitrogen oxide reducing catalyst downstream of the ammonia generating catalysts for reduction of nitrogen oxide contained in exhaust gas.

Process and apparatus for reducing nitrogen-oxide emissions in exhaust gas
TL;DR: In this paper, a method of cleaning an exhaust gas from a combustion system that is operated alternately in lean and rich conditions is described, with the goal of reducing nitrogen oxides in a subsequent lean condition.

Exhaust-gas aftertreatment device with nitrogen oxide storage catalytic converter, and operating method therefor
Klaus Binder,Josef Dipl.-Ing. Günther,Andreas Hertzberg,Brigitte Konrad,Bernd Krutzsch,Heinz-Jost Ölschlegel,Stefan Renfftlen,Dirk Dr. Voigtländer,Michel Weibel,Marko Weirich,Günter Wenninger,Rolf Dr. Wunsch +11 more
TL;DR: In this article, an internal combustion engine is operated with a lean mixture and a rich mixture, and an exhaust-gas aftertreatment device, which includes a nitrogen oxide storage catalytic converter and a particle filter.
Patent
Method for operating an internal combustion engine using exhaust gas purification system, and internal combustion engine
TL;DR: In this paper, a method for operating an internal combustion engine using exhaust gas purification system, and internal combustion engines, is presented, in which a rich mode of the internal combust engine with a rich exhaust gas composition and a lean mode of internal combustion Engine with a lean exhaust gas compositions are set alternately, and a rich or lean exhaustgas composition is set by at least one afterinjection.
