Journal ArticleDOI

[Bmim]BF4 ionic liquid: a novel reaction medium for the synthesis of β-amino alcohols

TL;DR: In this paper, a smooth ring-opening with aryl amines in 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium tetrafluoroborate (BF4) or 1-(butyl)-methylamine hexafluorophosphate (PF6) ionic liquids under mild and neutral conditions to afford β-amino alcohols in excellent yields with high regioselectivity.
Journal ArticleDOI

Green Protocol for Conjugate Addition of Thiols to α,β-Unsaturated Ketones Using a [Bmim]PF6/H2O System

TL;DR: The enones show enhanced reactivity in ionic liquids, thereby reducing reaction times and improving the yields significantly, and avoiding the use of either acid or base catalysts for this conversion.
Journal ArticleDOI

Conjugate addition of indoles to α,β-unsaturated ketones using Cu(OTf)2 immobilized in ionic liquids

TL;DR: In this article, the authors described the smooth conjugate addition with α,β-unsaturated ketones in the presence of 10mol% copper(II) triflate immobilized in air and moisture stable BF4 ionic liquid under mild conditions.
Journal ArticleDOI

InCl3-Catalyzed Highly Regioselective Ring Opening of Epoxides with Thiols

TL;DR: Epoxides react smoothly with thiols in the presence of 10 mol% InCl3 under very mild conditions to afford the corresponding β-hydroxy sulfides in high yields with high regioselectivity.
Journal ArticleDOI

[Bmim]PF6 and BF4 ionic liquids as novel and recyclable reaction media for aromatic amination

TL;DR: In this article, aryl halides undergo smooth nucleophilic substitution reactions with secondary amines in 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium hexafluorophosphate ([bmim]PF 6 ) ionic liquids (ILs) at room temperature to afford the corresponding arylamines in excellent yields under mild and neutral conditions.
