Modified calibration technique of a five-hole probe for high flow angles

TL;DR: In this paper, a method for calibrating a five-hole probe for extending the useful measurement range up to flow angularities of 85° is described, which involves adjustment of the calibration coefficients to allow valid calibration at larger flow angles.
Journal ArticleDOI

A rapid technique for measuring and visualizing the extent of separated flow

TL;DR: In this article, a method for rapidly measuring and visualizing the extent of separated flow suitable for a wind tunnel environment is described, where a continuously swinging total pressure probe is used to detect the presence of highly complicated three-dimensional separated regions for a typical general aviation twin-engine aircraft.
Journal ArticleDOI

Measurements in the field of a spark excited compressible axisymmetric jet

TL;DR: In this article, the acoustic phase (ensemble) averaged measurements were performed in a constant temperature, axisymmetric, Mach 0.6 jet of air and it was shown that the noise directly radiated by the coherent structure in the jet flow field was responsible for the directivity of the acoustic field.
