Depolymerization and conversion of lignin to value-added bioproducts by microbial and enzymatic catalysis

TL;DR: In this paper, the most recent advances in degradation and conversion of lignin to value-added bioproducts catalyzed by microbes and enzymes were summarized, and new insights for future work to overcome the heterogeneity and recalcitrance of Lignin and convert it to value added products by microbial and enzymatic catalysis were proposed.
Journal ArticleDOI

Metabolic engineering of Cupriavidus necator H16 for improved chemoautotrophic growth and PHB production under oxygen-limiting conditions.

TL;DR: A metabolically engineered strain capable of both rapid growth and large accumulation of PHB under oxygen-limiting conditions was constructed based on the transcriptomic analysis and it was found that knockout of ldh can improve PHB production and reduce the by-products.
Journal ArticleDOI

Co-conversion of lignocellulose-derived glucose, xylose, and aromatics to polyhydroxybutyrate by metabolically engineered Cupriavidus necator.

TL;DR: In this article , the Cupriavidus necator H16 was engineered to utilize glucose, xylose, p-coumaric acid, and ferulic acid simultaneously by multi-step genetic engineering.
Journal ArticleDOI

Bilingual phonological contrast perception: The influence of Quanzhou Southern Min on Mandarin non-sibilant fricative discrimination.

TL;DR: The authors explored the discrimination of Mandarin non-sibilant fricatives by bilingual speakers of Quanzhou Southern Min (L1) and Mandarin (L2) in different phonological contexts, including rounded vowels and the glide.
