A deep learning-based PM2.5 concentration estimator

TL;DR: Li et al. as discussed by the authors proposed a PM2.5 concentration estimator based on deep convolutional neural networks, which consists of three modules: first, they generate a hallucinated reference image of PM 2.5 by using deep CNNs; second, the discrepancy map and the distorted PM.5 image are used to extract the features; and third, the prediction module based on neural networks utilizes those extracted features to predict PM2.5 concentrations.

Polar-harmonic sine and cosine transformation algorithm

TL;DR: In this paper, a radial kernel is constructed by utilizing a sine-cosine function, such that the stability is realized; both the zero number and distribution of the radial kernel are superior to the traditional polar-harmonic transformation algorithm based on two-dimensional transformation; compared with the traditional method, in the aspect of graphical representation, the algorithm is more suitable for a high-order moment condition.
