Comparison of China's primary energy consumption forecasting by using ARIMA (the autoregressive integrated moving average) model and GM(1,1) model

TL;DR: In this article, two univariate models, ARIMA (the autoregressive integrated moving average) model and GM(1,1) model, are used to forecast China's primary energy consumption.
Journal ArticleDOI

Forecasting China’s energy demand and self-sufficiency rate by grey forecasting model and Markov model

TL;DR: In this article, an optimized single variable discrete grey forecasting model is adopted to forecast the total amount of energy production and consumption while a novel Markov approach based on quadratic programming model is proposed to forecast trends of energy consumption structures.
Journal ArticleDOI

The impact on chinese economic growth and energy consumption of the Global Financial Crisis: An input–output analysis

TL;DR: In this paper, the influence on energy consumption and economic growth of Global Financial Crisis and the stimulus plan against it by input-output analysis is discussed, and the results show that the fall of exports caused by the Global Financial crisis will lead to a decrease of 7.33% in GDP (Gross Domestic Production) and a reduction of 9.21% in energy consumption.
Journal ArticleDOI

On novel grey forecasting model based on non-homogeneous index sequence

TL;DR: In this paper, a grey forecasting model based on non-homogeneous index sequence approximately (abbreviated as NDGM) is proposed and the recursive function of the NDGM model is proposed.
Journal ArticleDOI

The relationship among energy prices and energy consumption in China

TL;DR: In this article, the cointegration relations among energy prices, energy consumption and economic outputs were investigated by co-integration equations, impulse response functions, granger causality and variance decomposition, and showed that higher energy price will decrease energy consumption in Chinese industrial sectors but will not reduce the economic output in the long run.
