Journal ArticleDOI

Transverse Waves in Simulated Liquid Rocket Engines

TL;DR: In this paper, a closed-form analytical solution for the transverse vorticoacoustic wave in a circular cylinder with headwall injection is provided. But the authors do not consider the effect of the head-wall injection on the acoustic wave.
Journal ArticleDOI

Sidewall Boundary Layer of Transverse Waves in Simulated Liquid Rocket Engines

TL;DR: In this article, a closed-form analytical solution for the transverse vortical wave generated at the sidewall of a circular cylinder with headwall injection is provided. But the authors only consider the case of a single cylindrical enclosure with axisymmetric injection.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

Transverse Waves in Simulated Liquid Rocket Engines

TL;DR: In this article, a closed-form analytical solution for the transverse vorticoacoustic wave in a circular cylinder with headwall injection is provided. But the authors do not consider the effect of the head-wall injection on the acoustic wave.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

Transverse Waves in Simulated Liquid Rocket Engines with Variable Headwall Injection

TL;DR: In this article, the transverse vorticoacoustic wave in a circular cylinder is characterized for a variable velocity profile at the injector faceplate, and the results show that the resulting wave is essentially incompressible, viscous, and vortical set that materializes by coupling with the acoustic wave at the boundaries.
