Reinforcement of compatibilized NR/NBR blends by fly ash particles and precipitated silica

TL;DR: In this article, the effects of precipitated silica (PSi) and silica from fly ash (FA) particles (FASi) on the cure and mechanical properties before and after thermal and oil aging of natural rubber (NR) and acrylonitrile-butadiene rubber (NBR) blends with and without chloroprene rubber (CR) or epoxidized NR (ENR) as a compatibilizer have been reported.
Journal ArticleDOI

Wood Sawdust Fibres as a Secondary Filler in Carbon Black Filled NR Vulcanizates

TL;DR: In this article, the authors identify the optimus of polymer-wood composites and propose a method to identify the optimal combination of the matrix phase and wood flour as a reinforcing phase.
Journal ArticleDOI

A die rotating system for moderations of extrusion load and pressure drop profiles for molten PP and wood/polypropylene composites in extrusion processes

TL;DR: In this paper, a die-rotating system was proposed for moderations of extrusion forces and entrance pressure drop for molten polypropylene (PP) and wood/polypropylene composites in a capillary rheometer and a single screw extruder.
Journal ArticleDOI

Evaluation of Pulsed Electric Field and Conventional Thermal Processing for Microbial Inactivation in Thai Orange Juice

TL;DR: In this paper , the authors examined the effect of PEF treatment on microbial inactivation and quality parameters in Thai orange juice (TOJ) and showed that PEF and conventional thermal pasteurization (CTP) can be performed for inactivation of Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli in TOJ.
Journal ArticleDOI

Moderation of Entrance Pressure Drop and Extrudate Swelling of Wood Fiber/Polypropylene Composites Melt in Rotating-Die Extrusion Process

TL;DR: In this paper, a rotating-die system was proposed to moderate the elastic swelling for molten polypropylene (PP) and wood/polypropylene composite (WPP) composite, and the results suggested that use of the rotating die system could increase the productivity in the extrusion process.
