A Baseline Score to Predict Response to Ranibizumab Treatment in Neovascular Age-Related Macular Degeneration.
TL;DR: Model-based characterization of best-corrected visual acuity time profiles of patients with neovascular age-related macular degeneration under ranibizumab or sham treatment based on 24-month observations of BCVA found that a composite score based on seven patient characteristics prior to treatment could be used to discriminate patients with predicted insufficient response to anti–vascular endothelial growth factor treatment.
Journal ArticleDOI
A hidden Markov model to assess drug-induced sleep fragmentation in the telemetered rat
Cheikh Diack,O. Ackaert,B. A. Ploeger,B. A. Ploeger,P H van der Graaf,Rachel Gurrell,M. Ivarsson,M. Ivarsson,D. Fairman,D. Fairman +9 more
TL;DR: A Markov model was developed to consider the high correlation in the data and quantitatively compared sleep disturbance in telemetered rats induced by methylphenidate and of a new chemical entity (NCE), showing that both compounds induce sleep fragmentation with methyl phenidate being fivefold more potent compared to the NCE.
Journal ArticleDOI
Time-to-event modelling of effect of codrituzumab on overall survival in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma
Mikiko Nakamura,Chao Xu,Cheikh Diack,Norihisa Ohishi,Ruey-min Lee,Satofumi Iida,Takehiko Kawanishi,Toshihiko Ohtomo,Ghassan K. Abou-Alfa,Ya-Chi Chen +9 more
TL;DR: The final model indicates that adequate drug exposure plus a favourable immune environment are associated with prolonged OS in HCC patients treated with codrituzumab.
Journal ArticleDOI
PKPD and cardiac single cell modeling of a DDI study with a CYP3A4 substrate and itraconazole to quantify the effects on QT interval duration.
TL;DR: The C-QT model for basmisanil can be used to derive the QT interval corrected changes in heart rate (QTc) and thus inform cardiac safety strategy in later development without the need for a separate, dedicated study.
Journal ArticleDOI
Population pharmacokinetic analysis of RO5459072, a low water-soluble drug exhibiting complex food–drug interactions
TL;DR: The population PK model supported that dissolution- and solubility-limited absorption from the proximal and distal intestine alone explains the non-linear PK of RO5459072 in fasted state and the linear PK in fed state.
