4-(4,6-dimethoxy-1,3,5-triazin-2-yl)-4-methyl-morpholinium chloride: an efficient condensing agent leading to the formation of amides and esters

TL;DR: In this paper, 4,6-dimethoxy-1, 3,5-triazin-2(1H)-one was obtained by esterification of caiboxylic acids with DMTMM in methanol, ethanol, isopropy1 alcohol, or t-butyl alcohol.
Journal ArticleDOI

Formation of carboxamides by direct condensation of carboxylic acids and amines in alcohols using a new alcohol- and water-soluble condensing agent: DMT-MM

TL;DR: In this paper, a condensing agent, 4-(4,6-dimethoxy-1,3,5-triazin-2-yl)-4-methylmorpholinium chloride (DMT-MM), was used for the selective formation of carboxamides in an alcohol or water.
Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis and characterization of 4-(4,6-dimethoxy-1,3,5-triazin-2-yl)-4-methylmorpholinium chloride

TL;DR: In this article, 4-(4,6-Dimethoxy-1,3,5-triazin-2-yl)-4-methylmorpholinium chloride (DMTMM) was quantitatively synthesized by coupling of 2-chloro-4, 6-dimethoxy and 1, 3, 5-triazine and N-methylmethylmorpholine in THF, and fully characterized.
Journal ArticleDOI

Study on 1,3,5‐Triazine Chemistry in Dehydrocondensation: Gauche Effect on the Generation of Active Triazinylammonium Species

TL;DR: The theory of "gauche β-alkyl group effect" proposed here provides useful guidelines for the preparation of DMT-Ams possessing various tertiary amine moieties, including trimethylamine and quinuclidine without such alkyl groups readily react with CDMT whereas triethyamine, possessing two or three such gauche β -alkyl groups in the stable conformations, does not react at all.
