Journal ArticleDOI
Green synthesis of gold nanoparticles using a cheap Sphaeranthus indicus extract: Impact on plant cells and the aquatic crustacean Artemia nauplii.
Chinnasamy Balalakshmi,Kasi Gopinath,Marimuthu Govindarajan,Ravi Lokesh,Ayyakannu Arumugam,Naiyf S. Alharbi,Shine Kadaikunnan,Jamal M. Khaled,Giovanni Benelli +8 more
TL;DR: An environment friendly technique for the synthesis of gold nanoparticles (Au NPs) using the Sphaeranthus indicus leaf extract is reported, which has potential applications in the development of pollen germination media and plant tissue culture.
Journal ArticleDOI
Single Step Fabrication of Chitosan Nanocrystals Using Penaeus semisulcatus: Potential as New Insecticides, Antimicrobials and Plant Growth Promoters
V. Thamilarasan,V. Sethuraman,Kasi Gopinath,Chinnasamy Balalakshmi,Marimuthu Govindarajan,Marimuthu Govindarajan,Ramzi A. Mothana,Nasir A. Siddiqui,Jamal M. Khaled,Giovanni Benelli,Giovanni Benelli +10 more
TL;DR: With the simple technique presented here, large-scale industrial production of CH-NPs is possible, and they can be used to develop pesticides highly effective against mosquito vectors of high medical and veterinary importance, as well as for plant tissue culture and food packaging applications.
Journal ArticleDOI
Facile synthesis of gold and platinum doped titanium oxide nanoparticles for antibacterial and photocatalytic activity: A photodynamic approach.
Shahid Mahboob,Ravi Nivetha,Kasi Gopinath,Chinnasamy Balalakshmi,Khalid A. Al-Ghanim,Fahad A. Al-Misned,Zubair Ahmed,Marimuthu Govindarajan +7 more
TL;DR: TiO2/M-Au NPs have excellent feasibility for applying DSSC and photocatalytic application due to particle size, crystallite size, absorption ability, and bandgap energy.
Journal ArticleDOI
Optimization of aqueous-assisted extraction of polysaccharides from pumpkin (Cucurbita moschata Duch) and their biological activities
Saraswathi Umavathi,Madhayan Keerthika,Kasi Gopinath,Chandramohan Kavitha,Md. Romij Uddin,Shanmugam Alagumanian,Chinnasamy Balalakshmi +6 more
TL;DR: It is suggested that the aqueous assisted extraction of is a cost-effective promising method to decrease the processing time as well as enhancing extracted polysaccharide yield – times.
