Journal ArticleDOI
Phase III Postoperative Adjuvant Radiotherapy After Radical Prostatectomy Compared With Radical Prostatectomy Alone in pT3 Prostate Cancer With Postoperative Undetectable Prostate-Specific Antigen: ARO 96-02/AUO AP 09/95
Thomas Wiegel,Dirk Bottke,Ursula Steiner,Alessandra Siegmann,Reinhard Golz,Stephan Störkel,Norman Willich,Axel Semjonow,Rainer Souchon,Michael Stöckle,Christian Rübe,Lothar Weissbach,Peter Althaus,Udo Rebmann,T. Kälble,Horst Jürgen Feldmann,Manfred P. Wirth,Axel Hinke,Wolfgang Hinkelbein,Kurt Miller +19 more
TL;DR: Adjuvant RT for pT3 prostate cancer with postoperatively undetectable PSA significantly reduces the risk of biochemical progression and further follow-up is needed to assess the effect on metastases-free and overall survival.
Journal ArticleDOI
Two-weekly or 3-weekly CHOP chemotherapy with or without etoposide for the treatment of elderly patients with aggressive lymphomas: results of the NHL-B2 trial of the DSHNHL
Michael Pfreundschuh,Lorenz Trümper,Marita Kloess,Rudolf Schmits,Alfred C. Feller,Christian Rübe,Christian Rudolph,Marcel Reiser,Dieter K. Hossfeld,Hartmut Eimermacher,Dirk Hasenclever,Norbert Schmitz,Markus Loeffler +12 more
TL;DR: CHOP-14 should be considered the new standard chemotherapy regimen for patients ages 60 or older with aggressive lymphoma due to its favorable efficacy and toxicity profile.
Journal Article
Comparison of Different Methods for Delineation of 18F-FDG PET–Positive Tissue for Target Volume Definition in Radiotherapy of Patients with Non–Small Cell Lung Cancer
Ursula Nestle,Stephanie Kremp,Andrea Schaefer-Schuler,Christiane Sebastian-Welsch,Dirk Hellwig,Christian Rübe,Carl-Martin Kirsch +6 more
TL;DR: The different techniques of tumor contour definition by (18)F-FDG PET in radiotherapy planning lead to substantially different volumes, especially in patients with inhomogeneous tumors.
Journal ArticleDOI
Two-weekly or 3-weekly CHOP chemotherapy with or without etoposide for the treatment of young patients with good-prognosis (normal LDH) aggressive lymphomas: results of the NHL-B1 trial of the DSHNHL.
Michael Pfreundschuh,Lorenz Trümper,Marita Kloess,Rudolf Schmits,Alfred C. Feller,Christian Rudolph,Marcel Reiser,Dieter K. Hossfeld,Bernd Metzner,Dirk Hasenclever,Norbert Schmitz,Bertram Glass,Christian Rübe,Markus Loeffler +13 more
TL;DR: Although the CHOEP regimens induced more myelosuppression, all regimens were well tolerated and CHOEP should be the preferred chemotherapy regimen for young patients with good-prognosis (normal LDH level) aggressive lymphoma.
Journal ArticleDOI
In vivo formation and repair of DNA double-strand breaks after computed tomography examinations
Markus Löbrich,Nicole Rief,Martin Kühne,M. Heckmann,Jochen Fleckenstein,Christian Rübe,Michael Uder +6 more
TL;DR: The data show that the in vivo induction and repair of DSBs can be assessed in individuals exposed to low radiation doses, adding a further dimension to DSB repair studies and providing the opportunity to identify repair-compromised individuals after diagnostic irradiation procedures.
