Book ChapterDOI

Sodium, Potassium, Rubidium, and Cesium: X-Ray Structurai Analysis of Their Organic Compounds1

TL;DR: In this paper, the published X-ray investigations of organometallic compounds of Na, K, Rb, and Cs have been discussed and many structures through 1985 also are reported.
Journal ArticleDOI

Addition reactions of diarylcarbenium ions to 2-methyl-1-pentene: kinetic method and reaction mechanism

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors show that the observed I8O scrambling is not the result of (I) chemical workup or (2) external ion return, and two control experiments in each solvent were performed in order to show that I 8O scrambling was not a result of either chemical work up or ion return.
Journal ArticleDOI

Kinetics of the reactions of the p-methoxy-substituted benzhydryl cation with various alkenes and 1,3-dienes

TL;DR: Mayr et al. as mentioned in this paper used a kinetic method to determine the second-order rate constants for the reaction of (P-CH30C6H4) with 30 alkenes and 1,3-dienes in dichloromethane at -80 to -30 C.
Journal ArticleDOI

n-Butylsodium: The preparation, properties and NMR spectra of a hydrocarbon- and tetrahydrofuran-soluble reagent

TL;DR: In this paper, high field NMR studies of n-Butylsodium (BuNa) in THF suggest only one form to be present at low temperatures at low temperature.
