Journal ArticleDOI

Hydration in aqueous NaCl.

TL;DR: In this article , the authors used ab initio molecular dynamics simulations together with extensive spectrum calculations to relate the features found in experimental oxygen K-edge spectra of a concentration series of aqueous NaCl with the induced structural changes upon solvation of the salt and distill the spectral fingerprints of the first hydration shells around the Na+ and Cl--ions.
Journal ArticleDOI

Non-resonant and resonant X-ray emission at high pressure using a von Hámos setup: the case of FeO

TL;DR: In this paper , a von Hámos spectrometer was used to obtain high-quality Kβ 1,3 X-ray emission spectra at high pressures for iron spin state analysis within minutes and iron valence-to-core spectra in less than one hour.
Journal ArticleDOI

X-ray scattering at beamline BL2 of DELTA: Studies of lysozyme-lysozyme interaction in heavy water and structure formation in 1-hexanol

TL;DR: The bending magnet beamline of DELTA has been reconstructed in order to enable small-angle X-ray scattering and wide-angle scattering studies with monochromatic beam as mentioned in this paper .
