Journal ArticleDOI
Chronic neck and shoulder pain, age, and working conditions: longitudinal results from a large random sample in France
TL;DR: The aging of the workforce appears to contribute to the widespread concern about chronic neck and shoulder pain, and a better understanding of work activity regulation of older workers can open up new preventive prospects.
Journal ArticleDOI
Urinary biomarkers of prenatal atrazine exposure and adverse birth outcomes in the PELAGIE birth cohort.
Cécile Chevrier,Gwendolina Limon,Christine Monfort,Florence Rouget,Ronan Garlantézec,Claire Petit,Gaël Durand,Sylvaine Cordier +7 more
TL;DR: This study is the first to assess associations of birth outcomes with multiple urinary biomarkers of exposure to triazine and chloroacetanilide herbicides, and raises particular concerns for countries where atrazine is still in use.
Journal ArticleDOI
Spatial variation of natural radiation and childhood leukaemia incidence in Great Britain.
TL;DR: A strong indication is deduced that a main part of the variability of childhood leukaemia incidence in Great Britain is accounted for by a local neighbourhood 'clustering' structure, which is relatively stable over the 15 year period for the lymphocytic leukaemias.
Journal ArticleDOI
Exposure to an organochlorine pesticide (chlordecone) and development of 18-month-old infants.
Olivier Boucher,Marie-Noëlle Simard,Gina Muckle,Florence Rouget,Philippe Kadhel,Henri Bataille,Veronique Chajes,Renée Dallaire,Christine Monfort,Jean-Pierre Thomé,Luc Multigner,Sylvaine Cordier +11 more
TL;DR: It is suggested that prenatal exposure to chlordecone is associated with specific impairments in fine motor function in boys, and add to the growing evidence that exposure to organochlorine pesticides early in life impairs child development.
Journal ArticleDOI
Cognitive, visual, and motor development of 7-month-old Guadeloupean infants exposed to chlordecone.
Renée Dallaire,Gina Muckle,Florence Rouget,Philippe Kadhel,Philippe Kadhel,Henri Bataille,Laurence Guldner,Sophie Seurin,Veronique Chajes,Christine Monfort,Olivier Boucher,Jean-Pierre Thomé,Sandra W. Jacobson,Luc Multigner,Sylvaine Cordier +14 more
TL;DR: It is suggested that pre- and postnatal low chronic exposure to chlordecone is associated with negative effects on cognitive and motor development during infancy.
