European Association of Echocardiography recommendations for the assessment of valvular regurgitation. Part 2: mitral and tricuspid regurgitation (native valve disease)
Patrizio Lancellotti,L uis Moura,Luc Pierard,Eustachio Agricola,Bogdan A. Popescu,Christophe Tribouilloy,Andreas Hagendorff,Jean-Luc Monin,Rosa Sicari,Alec Vahanian +9 more
TL;DR: Standards for the assessment of mitral and tricuspid regurgitation are provided to understand mechanisms of Regurgitation, quantification of its severity and repercussions.
Journal ArticleDOI

Recommendations for the echocardiographic assessment of native valvular regurgitation: an executive summary from the European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging
Patrizio Lancellotti,Christophe Tribouilloy,Andreas Hagendorff,Bogdan A. Popescu,Thor Edvardsen,Thor Edvardsen,Luc Pierard,Luigi P. Badano,José Luis Zamorano +8 more
TL;DR: It is crucial to provide standards that aim at establishing a baseline list of measurements to be performed when assessing regurgitation, and to integrate the quantification of the regurgitations, assessment of the valve anatomy and function, as well as the consequences of valvular disease on cardiac chambers.
Journal ArticleDOI
Transcatheter aortic valve implantation: early results of the FRANCE (FRench Aortic National CoreValve and Edwards) registry.
Hélène Eltchaninoff,Alain Prat,Martine Gilard,Alain Leguerrier,Didier Blanchard,Gerard Fournial,Bernard Iung,Patrick Donzeau-Gouge,Christophe Tribouilloy,Jean-Louis Debrux,Alain Pavie,Pascal Gueret +11 more
TL;DR: This prospective registry reflects the real-life experience of transcatheter aortic valve implantation in high-risk elderly patients in France and results are satisfactory in terms of feasibility, short-term haemodynamic and functional improvement, and safety.
Journal ArticleDOI
Low-Gradient Aortic Stenosis Operative Risk Stratification and Predictors for Long-Term Outcome: A Multicenter Study Using Dobutamine Stress Hemodynamics
Jean-Luc Monin,Jean-Paul Quéré,Mehran Monchi,Hélène Petit,Serge Baleynaud,Christophe Chauvel,Camélia Pop,Patrick Ohlmann,Claude Lelguen,Patrick Dehant,Christophe Tribouilloy,Pascal Gueret +11 more
TL;DR: In the setting of low‐gradient aortic stenosis, surgery seems beneficial for most of the patients with left ventricular contractile reserve, and the postoperative outcome of patients without reserve is compromised by a high operative mortality.
