Journal ArticleDOI

Optimization of Heat Pump–Assisted Intermittent Drying

TL;DR: In this article, heat pump-assisted drying of salak fruit was optimized by dividing the dehydration process into three distinct phases, namely, the initial, intermittent, and final stages.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effect of Pre-treatment and Drying Method on Colour Degradation Kinetics of Dried Salak Fruit During Storage

TL;DR: In this article, the effect of heat treatment on colour stability of dried salak fruit during storage was investigated by using hot air (40-90°C), heat pump (isothermal and intermittent modes, 26-37°C) and freeze-drying.
Journal ArticleDOI

A novel lipids recovery strategy for biofuels generation on microalgae Chlorella cultivation with waste molasses

TL;DR: In this paper, a novel approach of lipids extraction with simultaneous bio-fuels conversion on microalgae Chlorella sorokiniana CY-1 cultivation using waste molasses as culture medium was demonstrated.
Journal ArticleDOI

Start-up, steady state performance and kinetic evaluation of a thermophilic integrated anaerobic-aerobic bioreactor (IAAB).

TL;DR: The thermophilic IAAB achieved high chemical oxygen demand, biochemical oxygen demand and total suspended solids removal efficiencies of more than 99% for OLR up to 18.5 g COD/L day, higher than that of the mesophilic system due to the higher maximum specific growth rate of the thermophile microorganisms.
Journal ArticleDOI

A new variable diffusion drying model for the second falling rate period of paddy dried in a rapid bin dryer

TL;DR: In this paper, a variable diffusion controlled period was proposed to determine the second critical moisture content that separates the first and second falling-rate periods of paddy drying in a rapid bin dryer.
