Journal ArticleDOI

Biochemical evidence for presynaptic and postsynaptic alpha-adrenoceptors in rat heart membranes: positive homotropic cooperativity of presynaptic binding

TL;DR: This paper showed that 3H-dihydroergocryptine (3H-DHE) appears to bind to two classes of sites with limited capacity, differing in their specificities and affinities.
Book ChapterDOI

Positive homotropic cooperativity of presynaptic [3h]-dihydro-ergocryptine binding in rat heart membranes

TL;DR: In rat cardiac membranes, [3H] dihydroergocryptine (3H-DHE) appears to bind to two classes of α-adrenoceptors, which follows the law of mass action while the presynaptic binding shows a markedly positive homotropic cooperativity.
