Philippe Pencalet,Christian Sainte-Rose,Arielle Lellouch-Tubiana,Chantal Kalifa,Francis Brunelle,Spiros Sgouros,Philippe Meyer,Giuseppe Cinalli,Michel Zerah,Alain Pierre-Kahn,Dominique Renier +10 more
TL;DR: For carcinomas, the most effective treatment remains total surgical excision; however, adjuvant treatment in the form of chemotherapy in patients younger than age 3 years, supplemented by radiation therapy in older children, can moderately reduce the risk of recurrence.
Journal ArticleDOI
Epidemiology and early predictive factors of mortality and outcome in children with traumatic severe brain injury: Experience of a French pediatric trauma center*
S. Ducrocq,Philippe Meyer,Gilles Orliaguet,Stéphane Blanot,Anne Laurent-Vannier,Dominique Renier,Pierre Carli +6 more
TL;DR: Initial hypotension, Glasgow Coma Scale, and Injury Severity Score are independent predictors of outcome in children with traumatic brain injury and can be easily and detected early in this population and used for quality assessment.
Journal ArticleDOI
Angiotensin II-induced proliferation of aortic myocytes in spontaneously hypertensive rats.
TL;DR: Phospholipase C activation and c-fos and c -myc proto-oncogene expressions induced by Ang II are considerably enhanced in SHR cells, and these abnormalities may be linked to an increased number of Ang II receptors.
Journal ArticleDOI
Laboratory Distinction between Essential and Secondary Hypertension by Measurement of Erythrocyte Cation Fluxes
TL;DR: The erythrocyte test appears to be of interest in distinguishing between essential and secondary hypertension, and in 23 subjects with documented secondary hypertension and normotensive parents, the sodium-potassium net flux ratio was found to be similar to that in the controls.
Journal ArticleDOI
