The relative age effect and success in German elite U-17 soccer teams
Claudia Augste,Martin Lames +1 more

Journal ArticleDOI
Optimal control in the critical phase of movement: A functional approach to motor planning processes
Stefan Künzell,Claudia Augste,Matthias Hering,Sabine Maier,Anna-May Meinzinger,Dominicus Sießmeir +5 more
TL;DR: The results indicate that recall processes depend on motor experience which is acquired in different time scales, and suggest that motor planning processes are triggered only if the costs for executing movements controlled by recall processes exceed the cost for generating a motor plan.
Journal ArticleDOI

Claudia Augste,Ole Cordes +1 more

Seasonal variations in physical fitness among elementary school children
Claudia Augste,Stefan Künzell +1 more
TL;DR: It is shown that physical fitness is significantly influenced by the season, and when children’s fitness tests are used (e.g. as the basis for intervention programs, for classifying health-risk groups or for recognising talent), the season in which testing occurred should be reported and accounted for in future studies.
Journal ArticleDOI
