ALMA measurements of the HNC and HC$_3$N distributions in Titan's atmosphere
Martin Cordiner,Conor Nixon,Nicholas A Teanby,Joseph Serigano,S. B. Charnley,S. N. Milam,M. J. Mumma,Pgj Irwin,D. C. Lis,Geronimo Villanueva,Lucas Paganini,Yi-Jehng Kuan,Anthony J. Remijan +12 more
TL;DR: In this paper, spectrally and spatially resolved maps of HNC and HC$_3$N emission from Titan's atmosphere were obtained using the Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array (ALMA) on 2013 November 17.
Elusive Ethylene Detected in Saturn's Northern Storm Region
Brigette E. Hesman,Gordon L. Bjoraker,Pedro V. Sada,R. K. Achterberg,D. E. Jennings,Allen W. Lunsford,R. J. Boyle,Paul N. Romani,Amy A. Simon-Miller,Conor Nixon,Leigh N. Fletcher,Patrick G. J. Irwin +11 more
TL;DR: In 2011, the northern storm region was observed on many occasions in 2011 by Cassini's Composite Infrared Spectrometer (CIRS) and temperatures in the stratosphere greater than 200 K were derived from CIRS spectra in the regions referred to as 'beacons' as mentioned in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI
Interferometric imaging of Titan's HC$_3$N, H$^{13}$CCCN and HCCC$^{15}$N
Martin Cordiner,Conor Nixon,S. B. Charnley,Nicholas A Teanby,Edward Molter,Zbigniew Kisiel,Véronique Vuitton +6 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors presented the first maps of cyanoacetylene isotopologues in Titan's atmosphere, including H$13$CCCN and HCCC$^{15}$N, detected in the 0.9 mm band using the Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter array (ALMA) around the time of Titan's (southern winter) solstice in May 2017.

No phosphine in the atmosphere of Venus
Geronimo Villanueva,Martin Cordiner,Pgj Irwin,I. de Pater,Bryan J. Butler,Mark Gurwell,S. N. Milam,Conor Nixon,S. Luszcz-Cook,Colin Wilson,Vincent Kofman,Giuliano Liuzzi,Sara Faggi,Thomas Fauchez,Manuela Lippi,R. Cosentino,A. E. Thelen,Arielle Moullet,Paul Hartogh,Edward Molter,S. B. Charnley,Giada Arney,Avi Mandell,N. Biver,Ann Carine Vandaele,K. de Kleer,Ravi Kumar Kopparapu +26 more
TL;DR: In this article, it was shown that PH₃ signature cannot be produced in either ALMA or JCMT spectra, in stark disagreement with their photochemical network, and that PH∆ needs to be present at altitudes above 70 km.
Journal ArticleDOI
Detection of CH$_3$C$_3$N in Titan's Atmosphere
A. E. Thelen,Martin Cordiner,Conor Nixon,Véronique Vuitton,Zbigniew Kisiel,S. B. Charnley,M. Y. Palmer,Nicholas A Teanby,Pgj Irwin +8 more
TL;DR: The first spectroscopic detection of methylcyanoacetylene in Titan's atmosphere through the observation of seven transitions in the Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array (ALMA) in Band 6 was reported in this paper.
