Vancomycin: structure and transformation to CDP-I
Journal ArticleDOI
The aflatoxin B1 formamidopyrimidine adduct plays a major role in causing the types of mutations observed in human hepatocellular carcinoma
Maryann E. Smela,Michelle L. Hamm,Michelle L. Hamm,Paul T. Henderson,Constance M. Harris,Thomas M. Harris,John M. Essigmann +6 more
TL;DR: Two striking properties of the FAPY adduct make it the prime candidate for both the genotoxicity of aflatoxin and the mutagenicity that ultimately may lead to liver cancer.
Journal ArticleDOI
DNA interchain cross-links formed by acrolein and crotonaldehyde.
Ivan D. Kozekov,Lubomir V. Nechev,M Scott Moseley,Constance M. Harris,Carmelo J. Rizzo,Michael P. Stone,Thomas M. Harris +6 more
TL;DR: It is concluded that the cross-link is a mixture of imine and carbinolamine structures, which is one of the most serious types of damage in DNA since they are absolute blocks to replication.
