Journal ArticleDOI
Challenges of advanced hepatocellular carcinoma
Stefano Colagrande,Andrea L Inghilesi,S. Aburas,Gian Giacomo Taliani,Cosimo Nardi,Fabio Marra +5 more
TL;DR: This review will focus on the range of experimental therapeutics for patients with advanced HCC and highlights the successes and failures of these treatments as well as areas for future development.
Journal ArticleDOI
Odontogenic keratocyst: imaging features of a benign lesion with an aggressive behaviour.
Andrea Borghesi,Cosimo Nardi,Caterina Giannitto,Andrea Tironi,Roberto Maroldi,Francesco Di Bartolomeo,Lorenzo Preda +6 more
TL;DR: The main purpose of this pictorial review is to present the imaging appearance of OKCs underlining the specific findings of different imaging modalities and to provide key radiologic features helping the differential diagnoses from other cystic and neoplastic lesions of odontogenic origin.
Journal ArticleDOI
Metal and motion artifacts by cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) in dental and maxillofacial study.
Cosimo Nardi,Claudia Borri,Francesco Regini,Linda Calistri,Alessandro Castellani,Chiara Lorini,Stefano Colagrande +6 more
TL;DR: Cone-Beam-CT diagnostic evaluation was never inhibited by metal artifacts and only in 1.9 % of the cases by motion artifacts, always with a very low CT-dose-index.
Journal ArticleDOI
The role of chest ct in deciphering interstitial lung involvement: systemic sclerosis versus covid-19.
Martina Orlandi,Nicholas Landini,Gianluca Sambataro,Cosimo Nardi,Lorenzo Tofani,Cosimo Bruni,Silvia Bellando-Randone,Jelena Blagojevic,Daniela Melchiorre,Michael Hughes,Christopher P. Denton,Fabrizio Luppi,Barbara Ruaro,Francesca Della Casa,Francesca Wanda Rossi,Giacomo De Luca,C. Campochiaro,Michele Spinicci,Lorenzo Zammarchi,S. Tomassetti,Antonella Caminati,Edoardo Cavigli,Marco Albanesi,Fabio Melchiorre,Stefano Palmucci,Virginia Vegni,Serena Guiducci,Alberto Moggi-Pignone,Yannick Allanore,Alessandro Bartoloni,Marco Confalonieri,L. Dagna,Francesco De Cobelli,Amato de Paulis,Sergio Harari,Dinesh Khanna,Masataka Kuwana,Gloria Taliani,Federico Lavorini,Vittorio Miele,Giovanni Morana,Alberto Pesci,Carlo Vancheri,Stefano Colagrande,Marco Matucci-Cerinic,Marco Matucci-Cerinic +45 more
TL;DR: In this article, the CT features most frequently associated with COVID-19 pneumonia were: consolidation (CONS) in lower lobes, CONS with peripheral (both central/peripheral or patchy distributions), anterior and posterior CONS and rounded-shaped GGOs in the lower lobe.
Journal ArticleDOI
Head and neck effective dose and quantitative assessment of image quality: a study to compare cone beam CT and multislice spiral CT
Cosimo Nardi,Cinzia Talamonti,Stefania Pallotta,Paola Saletti,Linda Calistri,Cesare Cordopatri,Stefano Colagrande +6 more
TL;DR: CBCT was preferable to MSCT for the ear and dental arches volumetric imaging due to its lower radiation dose and significantly higher spatial resolution, and MSCT should be generally recommended if a high contrast resolution is required, despite the greater radiation exposure.
