Understanding encrypted networks through signal and systems analysis of traffic timing

TL;DR: Results show that under this analysis, traces from both wireless and wire-line networks leak useful information about the properties of the network and applications under examination, even when the actual packets are encrypted or attempts are made to mask the traffic timing.
Journal ArticleDOI

Case diagrams: a first step to diagrammed management information bases

TL;DR: The method presented here is limited in the kinds of information it can display, but the authors believe that some method for diagramming MIBs like the one described here will be needed in the future.
Journal ArticleDOI

Helping a future internet architecture mature

TL;DR: Some of the challenges of developing and maturing a future internet architecture (FIA) are described and some of the solutions proposed are described.

High-level Entity Management Protocol (HEMP)

TL;DR: This memo presents an application protocol for managing network entities such as hosts, gateways, and front end machines that is a component of the High-level Entity Management System HEMS, described is RFC-1021.

Methods and systems for passive information discovery using lomb periodogram processing

TL;DR: In this paper, the Lomb technique is used to obtain periodicity information about the signal and then the signal is processed using a Lomb technique to obtain the time of arrival information of the signal.
