Estimation of the mechanical properties of metallic materials by means of the small punch test
TL;DR: In this paper, different expressions for estimating the tensile and fracture properties of metallic alloys by means of the small punch test were proposed and their applicability was assessed after experimental testing a wide range of metallic materials and the application of a numerical model developed to study the effect of specimen thickness on these proposals.
Journal ArticleDOI
Genetic Markers of Widespread Extensively Drug-Resistant Pseudomonas aeruginosa High-Risk Clones
Gabriel Cabot,Alain A. Ocampo-Sosa,M. Angeles Domínguez,Juan F. Gago,Carlos Juan,Fe Tubau,Cristina Rodríguez,Bartolomé Moyá,Carmen Peña,Luis Martínez-Martínez,Antonio Oliver +10 more
TL;DR: Of particular interest, in nearly all the ST175 isolates, AmpC hyperproduction was driven by a novel AmpR-activating mutation (G154R), as demonstrated by complementation studies using an ampR mutant of PAO1.
Journal ArticleDOI
Overexpression of AmpC and Efflux Pumps in Pseudomonas aeruginosa Isolates from Bloodstream Infections: Prevalence and Impact on Resistance in a Spanish Multicenter Study
Gabriel Cabot,Alain A. Ocampo-Sosa,Fe Tubau,María D. Maciá,Cristina Rodríguez,Bartolomé Moyá,Laura Zamorano,Cristina Suárez,Carmen Peña,Luis Martínez-Martínez,Antonio Oliver +10 more
TL;DR: In summary, mutation-driven resistance was frequent in P. aeruginosa isolates from bloodstream infections, whereas metallo-β-lactamases, detected in 2 isolates (1%) producing VIM-2, although with increasing prevalences, were still uncommon.
Journal ArticleDOI
Alterations of OprD in Carbapenem-Intermediate and -Susceptible Strains of Pseudomonas aeruginosa Isolated from Patients with Bacteremia in a Spanish Multicenter Study
Alain A. Ocampo-Sosa,Gabriel Cabot,Cristina Rodríguez,Elena Román,Fe Tubau,María D. Maciá,Bartolomé Moyá,Laura Zamorano,Cristina Suárez,Carmen Peña,María Ángeles Domínguez,Gabriel Moncalián,Gabriel Moncalián,Antonio Oliver,Luis Martínez-Martínez +14 more
TL;DR: OprD inactivating mutations in clinical isolates of P. aeruginosa are not restricted only to carbapenem-resistant isolates but are also found in isolates with imipenem or meropenem MICs of only 0.06 to 4 μg/ml.
Journal ArticleDOI
Biological Markers of Pseudomonas aeruginosa Epidemic High-Risk Clones
Xavier Mulet,Gabriel Cabot,Alain A. Ocampo-Sosa,M. Angeles Domínguez,Laura Zamorano,Carlos Juan,Fe Tubau,Cristina Rodríguez,Bartolomé Moyá,Carmen Peña,Luis Martínez-Martínez,Antonio Oliver +11 more
TL;DR: The defined biological markers of high-risk clones, which resemble those resulting from adaptation to chronic infections, could be useful for the design of specific treatment and infection control strategies.
