The present paper aims at studying a Ricci solitons on para-Sasakian manifolds. We give the results on Ricci solitons in para-Sasakian manifold satisfying the conditions 0 = ) , ( R X S   , 0 = ) , ( P X R   and 0 = ) , ( H X R   ,where P , H are pseudo-projective and quasi-conharmonic curvature tensors, respectively. The objective of the present paper is to study Kenmotsu manifold admitting Schouten-van Kampen connection. We study Kenmotsu manifold admitting Schouten-van Kampen connection satisifying certain curvature conditions. Also we prove equivalent conditions for Ricci soliton in a Kenmotsu manifold is steady with respect to the Schouten-van Kampen connection.

On the conharmonic curvature tensor of Kenmotsu manifolds with generalized Tanaka-Webster connection

The symmetric/asymmetric planar slab waveguide is simplest waveguide structure to be analyzed. These waveguides are used in optical communication systems. In this paper we have derived the Eigenvalue equations by using the transmission line (TL) method for the case of symmetric/asymmetric planar slab waveguide structure. Earlier also the equations have been derived but no where the intermediate steps of the solution found by authors' knowledge. The derived results have been exactly matched with the existing results found in the literatures.
