Kinetics of oil and oil products adsorption by carbonized rice husks

TL;DR: In this article, the amount and composition of the fluids, dispersed on the surface of the carbonized rice husks, has been determined applying extraction and gas chromatography-mass spectrometry method (GC-MS).
Journal ArticleDOI

Effects of the pyrolysis process on the oil sorption capacity of rice husk

TL;DR: In this article, a fixed bed slow pyrolysis experiments on rice husks were carried out in order to determine the effect of pyroolysis temperature upon porous structure; surface morphology; phase composition; total amount, nature and distribution of the volatile compounds finely dispersed on the solid pyrolys residues.

Liquid-phase sorption of oil by carbonized rice husks: impact of grain size distribution on the sorption kinetics

TL;DR: In this article, the influence of granulometry of the adsorbent on the sorption kinetics and efficiency of rice husk for both cases of contamination was investigated, and an attempt had been made the kinetics of the pro cess to be described by kinetic models, most often used for adsorption from aqueous media.
Journal ArticleDOI

Biodiesel production from high free fatty acid byproduct of bioethanol production process

TL;DR: In this paper , the potential of obtaining fatty acid ethyl esters (FAEE) from corn oil, which is a byproduct of bioethanol production process, was considered and a comprehensive qualitative and quantitative analysis of both feedstock and biodiesel was performed using gas chromatography-mass spectrometry method.
