First Demonstration of Laser-Assisted Charge Exchange for Microsecond Duration H^{-} Beams.
Sarah Cousineau,Abdurahim Rakhman,Martin Kay,Alexander Aleksandrov,Viatcheslav Danilov,Timofey Gorlov,Yun Liu,Michael A Plum,Andrei Shishlo,D. E. Johnson +9 more
TL;DR: The central theme of this experiment is the demonstration of novel techniques that reduce the laser power requirement to allow high efficiency stripping of microsecond duration beams with commercial laser technology.
ReportDOI

Vivoli,A. Warner,V. Yakovlev,Peter Ostroumov,Z. Conway +34 more
TL;DR: The Proton Improvement Plan-II (PIP-II) as mentioned in this paper is a set of upgrades and improvements to the Fermilab accelerator complex aimed at supporting a world-leading neutrino program over the next several decades.
Journal ArticleDOI
High efficiency laser-assisted H- charge exchange for microsecond duration beams
Sarah Cousineau,Abdurahim Rakhman,Martin Kay,Alexander Aleksandrov,V. Danilov,Timofey Gorlov,Yun Liu,Cary Long,Alexander Menshov,Michael A Plum,Andrei Shishlo,Andrew Webster,D. E. Johnson +12 more
TL;DR: In this article, the first successful demonstration of the laser stripping technique for micro-second duration beams was performed on the Spallation Neutron Source 1 GeV H- beam using a 1 MW peak power UV laser and resulted in ~95% stripping efficiency.
Project X Injector Experiment: Goals, plan and status
Alexander Shemyakin,R. Stanek,M. Kaducak,R. Kephart,S. Mishra,Vyacheslav Yakovlev,D. E. Johnson,N. Solyak,Peter Ostroumov,Stephen Holmes,Valeri Lebedev,Sergei Nagaitsev,D. Li +12 more
TL;DR: The Project X Injector Experiment (PXIE) as mentioned in this paper is a key component of the larger Project X R&D program, which includes an H ion source, a CW 2.1-MeV RFQ and two superconductive RF (SRF) cryomodules.
