Partial Discharge Location in Power Transformers

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors used feature template matching to locate the source of partial discharge in a power transformer with a continuous disc type winding, which required knowledge about the physical geometry and design parameters of the transformer and also information about the characteristics of how the pulses caused by the PD propagate through the winding.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

An algorithm for partial discharge location in distribution power transformers

TL;DR: In this article, a technique is described for locating a partial discharge source in a distribution power transformer, where a simulation model is developed for the transformer winding and the partial discharge pulse.
Journal ArticleDOI

Research on the Amplitude–Phase Motion Equation for the Modeling of Wind Power System

TL;DR: In this article , the amplitude-phase motion method is proposed to establish the electromechanical transient simulation model of the double-fed induction generator (DFIG) for wind energy, and the simulation results in the four-machine two-area power system with one wind farm demonstrate that the proposed method is able to maintain a stable operation of the wind farm and the power grid when experiencing a sharp disturbance of wind speed.
