Journal ArticleDOI

On stress corrosion cracking in aluminum-lithium alloys

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigated the SCC susceptibility of two aluminum-lithium alloys, a binary Al-Li and a ternary AlLi-Cu alloy, in 0.5 M NaCl solution using the constant elongation rate technique.
Journal ArticleDOI

Hydride formation in an AlLiCu alloy

TL;DR: In this article, the orientation relationship of the hydride and the matrix has been determined and rationalized with the O lattice theory, and the thermodynamic stability of hydrides is discussed and possible formation mechanisms explained.
