Fine structure detected in the nuclear quadrupole resonance spectrum of naturally abundant 17O

TL;DR: In this article, a new technique was described for the detection of the nuclear quadrupole resonance of rare nuclei in powdered solids and frozen liquids using only small-amplitude radio-frequency fields (∼10−4T) very high sensitivities are obtained in suitable specimens such that the NQR of 17O in natural abundance (0.037%) is detected with ease.
Journal ArticleDOI

An 17O nuclear quadrupole resonance study of some carboxylic acids

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors used doule resonance with coupled multiplets to measure the nuclear quadrupole resonance spectra of 17O at both the CO and COH sites.
Journal ArticleDOI

Proton fine structure in the nuclear quadrupole double resonance spectrum of 17O naturally abundant in ice at 77 K

TL;DR: In this paper, double resonance with coupled multiplets (D.R.C) was used for detecting nuclear quadrupole resonance (N.Q.R) in polycrystalline hexagonal Ice ac 77 K.
Journal ArticleDOI

Double resonance with coupled multiplets

TL;DR: Double resonance with coupled multiplets (DRCM) is a very high sensitivity technique for measuring the NQR spectra of nuclei with half integer (I12) spins.
Journal ArticleDOI

An 17O nuclear quadrupole resonance study of hydrogen atom motion in KH2PO4

S.G.P. Brosnan, +1 more
- 19 Jan 1981 -
TL;DR: In this paper, the nuclear quadrupole resonance of 17 O naturally abundant in powdered KH 2 PO 4 is measured in its ferroelectric and para-electric phases and its fine structure is revealed due to the magnetic dipolar interaction of the oxygen nucleus and the proton in a neighbouring hydrogen atom.
