Journal ArticleDOI

Near-infrared photocatalysis based on YF3 : Yb3+,Tm3+/TiO2 core/shell nanoparticles

TL;DR: This study demonstrates that the NIR energy can be used as the driving source for photocatalysis besides the UV and visible energy.
Journal ArticleDOI

Greatly enhanced size-tunable ultraviolet upconversion luminescence of monodisperse β-NaYF4:Yb,Tm nanocrystals

TL;DR: In this article, a monodisperse β-NaYF4:Yb,Tm nanocrystals (nanospheres and nanoplates) with a uniform size were successfully synthesized by tuning the ratios of solvent, reaction temperature, and reaction time.
Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis and field emission of MoO3 nanoflowers by a microwave hydrothermal route

TL;DR: In this article, MoO3 nanoflowers were successfully synthesized on a Si substrate by a facility microwave hydrothermal method and the nanobelts had a relatively low turn-on field of ∼4.3 V/μm and their emission was a barrier tunneling quantum-mechanical process.
Journal ArticleDOI

Enhanced Photoluminescence of Water Soluble YVO4:Ln3+ (Ln = Eu, Dy, Sm, and Ce) Nanocrystals by Ba2+ Doping

TL;DR: In this article, a polyvinylpyrrolidone-assisted hydrothermal method was used to synthesize water soluble YVO4:Ln3+ nanocrystals.
Journal ArticleDOI

Bright white upconversion emission from Yb3+, Er3+, and Tm3+-codoped Gd2O3 nanotubes

TL;DR: Bright white UC luminescence in the nanotubes was observed under diode laser excitation of 980 nm, and the calculated CIE color coordinates shift only slightly and fall well within the white region.
