Automatic provisioning of an m2m device having a wifi interface

TL;DR: In this paper, a method for automatically provisioning a WiFi-equipped machine-to-machine (M2M) device is disclosed, where a WiFi M2M gateway identifies a WiFi network identifier broadcast by a powered-on MTC device in WiFi ad hoc mode through a scanning procedure and joins the ad hoc network defined by the MTC.

Proxy mobile ip

TL;DR: In this paper, a binding cache at one access router comprising a mapping of mobile node addresses to access router addresses, populating the binding cache, and updating the mapping of the mobile nodes addresses in response to a handoff of a mobile node from one access node to another access router, so that a packet is transmitted from the first mobile node to the second mobile node using the mapping in the binding caches.

Self-organizing ims network and method for organizing and maintaining sessions

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors propose a method and system for setting up and maintaining an IMS session, which consists of transmitting an invite message from a registered user equipment, forwarding the invite message to a selected SIP proxy (P-CSCF), forwarding the message to the specified SIP server (S- CSCF) and relaying said invite messages to a destination.

System method and program for telecom infrastructure virtualization and management

TL;DR: In this article, the authors present a virtualized telecom system and a method for managing service continuity and mobility in a virtualised telecom system, which comprises a plurality of execution nodes each configured to execute a network function by registering; and a manager node for registering each of the plurality of nodes, assigning a node identifier (Node ID) to each node, periodically polling each node for a status, and issuing control instructions to each execution node based upon the status of a respective node.

Self organizing IP Multimedia Subsystem

TL;DR: A self organizing and adaptive IMS architecture is introduced that can enable the IMS functional components and corresponding nodes to adapt them dynamically based on the features like network load, number of users and available system resources.
